Annual compliance assessment report on PAIA obligations by public and private bodies in terms of section 77H of the Promotion of Access to Information Act
Below are the Annual PAIA Compliance Assessment Reports compiled annually by the Information Regulator (“the Regulator”), following PAIA Compliance Assessments conducted in terms of section 77H of PAIA.
Areas of assessment
This report provides a summary of the Regulator’s findings on whether public and private bodies comply with key PAIA requirements. These include whether bodies have:
- Compiled a PAIA manual (in the required official languages);
- Made the PAIA manual available on their website and at their head office for public access;
- Published a notice of records that are automatically available without a formal request (where applicable);
- Designated Deputy Information Officers where required;
- Submitted annual reports to the Regulator on access to information requests processed; and
- Made the PAIA guide available at their head office in at least two official languages.
