Ms Nthupang Ngobeni is a senior regulatory and governance professional with extensive experience in regulatory policy, enforcement, research and stakeholder engagement. She joins the Information Regulator following a distinguished career at the National Credit Regulator, where she held senior leadership responsibilities and contributed significantly to the development and advancement of regulatory policy and practice.

Her experience spans regulatory strategy, legislative and policy development, compliance and enforcement, research, and stakeholder engagement. Nthupang is passionate about effective, credible and responsive regulation and brings to the Information Regulator a strong commitment to advancing the right of access to information and strengthening the regulatory framework in the public interest.

She is an admitted attorney and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LLM), with further postgraduate Executive Development qualification in Developmental Finance.
